Hi ,
which version of java I should go for
? OCPJP 1.8
? OCPJP 1.7
? OCPJP 1.6
as i am new to java . is it mandatory to start from 1.6..
all these dependent on each other ?
also please suggest me some books for the same certification..
Thanks
You can easily figure the Java version just by looking at the exam version :) . For example, OCPJP 1.6 focuses on Java 6, OCPJP 1.7 focuses on Java 7, and OCPJP 1.8 focuses on Java 8!
You definitely don't have to 'start' from Java 6 nor from OCPJP 1.6. Just pick the OCPJP version you want to go for, and prepare with the version of Java that exam focuses on. I think you can get an idea of which version would suit you better by going through this document:

Since you are new to Java, like I suggested in your other question, it would be a good idea to go through a book like HeadFirst Java. Or, if you want a quick preparation, consider going through a study guide book written for the version of OCPJP exam you have chosen. I'd like to recommend you a book or two, but I first need to know which version of exam you are planning to go through.
